Jesup’s Reserve

Jesup’s Reserve features two- and three-story townhomes and involved an interdisciplinary design approach of urban planning, architectural design and landscape architectural design to create a desirable community consistent with the comprehensive plan for the Town Center in the City of Winter Springs, Florida. One of the goals of this project was to create a sense of place with a variety of traditional architectural articulation, which was achieved through the use of a large diversity of elevations and strategically-placed amenities, all of which still conform to the strict vision plan and design guidelines of the City.

Finished floors of the residential units were raised to ensure privacy from passers- by at street level while maintaining good views from inside the homes. Several units face and engage a man-made lake which acts as a signature gathering place for residents. A key element of the building design is the use of alley- loaded garages (on paved alleys), allowing for tree-lined, picturesque streets and lake views in front of the buildings.
