Following the natural progression of Canin Associates’ long-standing commitment to design excellence and innovation in creating attractive, quality residential and resort environments, the Architectural Design Studio offers design services for community and resort developers, as well as national home builders. Through the further development of this practice area, the firm is able to offer architectural design services that compliment the neo-traditional residential, resort and mixed-use master planned communities designed by the other two studios.

The incorporation of an Architectural Design Studio has positioned the firm to deliver integrated design services, creating communities with a strong sense of place not only in urban design and landscape architecture, but also through the place-appropriate architectural design. Members of the Architectural Design Studio often accompany an integrated team on multi-faceted design charrettes, where the development of prototypical building types, as well as conceptual residential, commercial and resort products happens in conjunction with the development of the overall project design. The Architectural Design Studio understands and is sensitive to the local and regional context of each project, drawing on historical vernacular precedents for inspiration while designing state of the art homes and community facilities where people can relax, rediscover simple pleasures, and connect with family and friends.
